I have been sick with one thing or another off and on since November. Head cold? Check. Stomach virus? Check. Another head cold? Why, yes, here we are with that right now.
Awesome.
I’m not sure what’s going on exactly because I’m usually pretty healthy. My best guess is that I’m not getting enough exercise or eating very well. Or maybe after so long staying out of the schools, I’m back in there with a bunch of kiddos who didn’t really learn much about personal hygiene from the pandemic…
Who knows?
What I do know is that I’m a horrible sick person. I whine a lot. I toss and turn all night long. I blow my nose and groan incessantly. I’m a freaking delight. I loathe being sick.
Loathe. It.
One good thing about this go-around is that my throat has been so sore and raw, I can’t whine as loudly as I usually do. I know my husband appreciates that, especially since I’ve kept him up the past three nights coughing, blowing my nose, and groaning.
Good times.
I know this will pass, and I’ll feel better, but it’s hard to keep a positive attitude when you feel so shitty.
There is a success in this story: I’ve managed to finish all of AppleTV, Netflix, and HBOMax within the past three days as well as two books, so if you want any recommendations, I’m your girl.
A-choo! Coughcough! Waaaaaaaaah!
